The Marriott Theatre has postponed all performances of Kiss Me, Kate, The World Goes 'Round and summer children's theatre.

Hello Marriott Theatre family,
I want to update you on all that we know as of today on the eventual reopening of the Marriott Theatre.
As everyone knows we were closed, along with the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort, by the governor’s mandate back in March. At that time, we were all furloughed and remain so. We have been updating you as best we can on our website, Insiders emails, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, but wanted to reach out again to make sure you know everything that we know.
The reopening of the theatre will be in the final stage as laid out by the governor and various health organizations. Our priority is the well-being of staff, artists, and our customers. This is paramount. Although we are all very anxious to get back to work, safety has to be number one.
From home we have been making arrangements with the hundreds of artists, directors, technical staffs, and associates to be able to get up and running as fast as possible when we finally get that green light.
When we are permitted to safely reopen we will continue with our 2020 season. We will still bring you Kiss Me, Kate, The World Goes ‘Round, West Side Story and The Sound of Music. Upon reopening the box office, we will immediately get started re-ticketing our 30,000 subscribers and StagePass customers. Since the order of the shows may be different, with new performance dates for your particular series, we will reseat approximately 180,000 tickets. The box office will mail out your new dates, and will be available to assist with any questions or concerns our subscribers will have. Free exchanges will be offered for those dates that might not now work for you.
Our hope is to be allowed to reopen the box office by the end of July. We will update you as soon as we find out if this will be allowed. A reminder that we are constantly updating our different social media platforms, including Facebook, MarriottTheatre.com, Instagram, and Twitter. For now, emails and phone calls to the Marriott Theatre cannot be returned. The resort has resumed service for guest rooms and golf, but will not be able to answer any theatre related questions.
I want to reiterate how anxious we all are to get back to the theatre to bring you these amazing shows. The patience and overwhelming support shown by our subscribers has meant the world to us. To those that are frustrated with the lack of specifics, we understand, and are just as frustrated with all that is out of our control.
Hopefully you’ve seen articles in the Chicago Tribune and Daily Herald on our fun and ongoing programming on social media with “Couchical” - a hilarious take on how to do musicals with the shelter-in-place order in effect!; “In The Kitchen with Kate” and “What’s The Buzz with Buffy Binkleman,” plus the brand new series “Dynamo Dish” - with our three Dynamos from Mamma Mia!. All of these artists and staff have donated their time to keep us entertained while we wait to return to the theatre.
Again - thank you all for your patience and support. The Marriott Theatre depends solely on ticket sales to bring you the most exciting talent in thrilling productions for 45 years and counting. We don’t take that for granted! At this time there is nothing for you to do except to take good care of yourselves. Please know that your money is safe and secure, you will be automatically ticketed and have those tickets mailed to you.
