Terry has been associated with the Marriott Theatre for almost 40 years. Originally from New York, as a professional actor he first appeared at the Marriott Theatre in 1982 and eventually settled in Chicago. After more than 20 years on stage, he became the resident musical director for the Marriott Theatre in the 1990's; Associate Producer in 1992; and Executive Producer in 2000. Mr. James has continued the Marriott Theatre's long commitment to fostering new works including the recent offering Darling Grenadine, October Sky by Aaron Thielen and Michael Mahler (creative team of HERO) as well as recent premieres of Now & Forever: The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber (2013), HERO (2012), For the Boys (2011), The Bowery Boys (2008/09), Married Alive! (2007), All Night Strut (2006/07), Once Upon A Time in New Jersey (2006) and numerous others. The Marriott Theatre has become a prime venue for launching many Broadway shows into the regional market with such acclaimed productions as last season’s Something Rotten!, Honeymoon in Vegas, The Bridges of Madison County, Mary Poppins, 9 to 5, Hairspray, Cats, Miss Saigon, Sunset Boulevard, Beauty and the Beast, and Les Misérables, among others. Aaron is also the co-founder and Executive Director of Broadway Across Borders, a not-for-profit organization that is focused on building international and cross-cultural collaborations through musical theatre performance and connecting emerging artists across the world (www.broadwayacrossborders.org). Thielen and his writing partner Michael Mahler, created the award-winning October Sky the musical that premiered at The Marriott Theatre, then headed west to the Old Globe in San Diego and in the fall of 2021 the show will premiere in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan. Mahler and Thielen also wrote the award-winning HERO the musical. Thielen wrote and created a musical stage adaptation of the Twentieth century Fox Film For The Boys. Some directing credits include Spring Awakening, She Loves Me, Oklahoma! Spelling Bee... and Darling Grenadine. Thielen is a proud Board member of the National Alliance for Musical Theater. During the past year Thielen has continue his international work developing original musical collaborations connecting artists from Germany, Poland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Austria.
Peter started working with the Marriott Theatre in 2005 and currently serves at Associate Producer. He has been a Production Assistant, Production Administrator, Producing Associate and currently Associate Producer. In addition to his work at Marriott Theatre, Peter is the former Executive Director of BoHo Theatre in Chicago, where he produced acclaimed revivals of Floyd Collins, Big River and Pippin. Other work includes Drury Lane, Porchlight Music Theatre, Bailiwick Repertory, La Jolla Playhouse and 18 months with the original Chicago company of ...Spelling Bee. Originally from San Diego, Peter earned a music degree from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. He lives in Highland Park with his wife, Claire, and kids, Ada and Lorenzo.

Peter earned a B.A. in Theatre and an M.A. in Teaching at Trinity University in San Antonio, and an MFA in Directing at Illinois State University. Peter was Artistic Director of BoHo Theatre from 2010 to 2018. Recent directing projects include The Pajama Game at Northwestern University; 110 in the Shade, Dogfight, Amadeus, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Floyd Collins, Pippin, Icarus, Big River, Ghosts, I Am My Own Wife (co-Director), Playing with Fire (After Frankenstein), and M. Butterfly at BoHo Theatre. Love to his talented wife, Elizabeth, and son, Marston McCoy.
Meg Love is pleased to be bringing another production to life on the Marriott stage, proudly serving as Production Manager since 2018. Meg holds a BFA with an emphasis in stage management from Webster University and has stage managed and production managed in Chicago for the past 13 years. Past credits include productions with Okoboji Summer Theater, The Old Globe in San Diego, The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Noble Fool Theatricals, the Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus and BoHo Theatre. Love to Dan and sweet Jackson who are her support and inspiration.
David A Loranca
David is thrilled to welcome back artists and audiences to the theatre in his new role as Company Manager. As a Stage Manager, prior to the shutdown, David had just begun work on Kiss Me, Kate and has previously stage managed Marriott Theatre productions including: Oliver!, Darling Grenadine, Madagascar, Pinkalicious, The Emperor’s New Clothes, and Sleeping Beauty. David has stage managed across Chicagoland, regionally, and on first national tours of: The Woman in Black, Jim Henson’s Sid the Science Kid: Live! and The Screwtape Letters-- including its extended run at Chicago’s Mercury Theatre. David is a graduate of Western Illinois University and member of Actors’ Equity Association.
Sana is an actor, dialect coach, and arts administrator hailing from the midwestern land of Columbus, Ohio. She attended Ohio University and graduated with a BFA in Acting and minor in Sociolinguistics, which has fueled her passion for accents and language. Sana has worked with BoHo Theatre, Pegasus Theatre, American Blues Theatre, Definition Theatre, Lifeline Theatre, Pride Films and Plays, and First Floor Theater and is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA. She feels incredibly blessed to have found an artistic home in Chicago and where she can collaborate with other storytellers to create thought provoking and imaginative work. Along with working at Marriott Theatre, she follows in the footsteps of Peter Blair and Meg Love as the Executive Director of BoHo Theatre, a storefront theatre in the city of Chicago.

Sara Vazquez is delighted to join the core staff of the Marriott Theatre in this fresh capacity after freelancing here as Young Performer Supervisor, Run Crew, Wardrobe Assistant, Lighting Electrician, and probably more. Sara is a Michigan native who graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre. An eclectic artist, she has previously stage managed, tour managed, directed, and/or performed with companies like Emerald City Theatre, American Shakespeare Center, and Lexington Children’s Theatre. She has also taught theatre classes and workshops across the country and treasures helping young artists unlock their creativity and agency.
