A Caribbean Fairy Tale!

Once on this island on a stormy night, as legend tells it, a small girl cries in fear as the thunder booms. To comfort her a group of Caribbean peasants tell her the story of Ti Moune, a beautiful peasant girl who rescues and falls in love with Daniel, a wealthy boy from the other side of the island. When Daniel is returned to his people, the fantastical gods who rule the island guide Ti Moune on a quest to test the strength of her love. This highly original and theatrical Caribbean adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Mermaid features a Calypso-flavored score by the creators of Seussical and Ragtime. It's an enchanting tale for all ages.
