Marriott Theatre: Anything Goes, Mrs. Anna in The King and I, Margaret in The Light in the Piazza, Abigail Adams in 1776, Mrs. Paroo in The Music Man, the Beggar Woman in Sweeney Todd, and numerous others.  

She recently completed a critically acclaimed production of The Sound of Music at Lyric Opera of Chicago where she previously appeared as Sylviane in The Merry Widow.  A graduate of Northwestern University, Ms. Ernster’s other successes have been at Court Theatre (Aunt Julia/The Dead), Paramount Theatre ( Mrs. Paroo/The Music Man, Mrs. Higgins/My Fair Lady), Chicago Shakespeare Theatre (Mrs. Potts/ Beauty and the Beast, Glinda/The Wizard of Oz), Goodman Theatre (Titania/Another Midsummer Night, Ghost of Christmas Past/ A Christmas Carol), Drury Lane Theatre (Mrs. Anna/ The King and I, Rosabella/ The Most Happy Fella, Sarah/ Guys and Dolls), First Folio Shakespeare Theatre (Beatrice/ Much Ado about Nothing), Light Opera Works (Alice Challice/ Darling of the Day), and Apple Tree Theatre (Emily/ Wings, Lily/A Man of No Importance).  Throughout her career, she has garnered 12 Joseph Jefferson Award nominations, 2 Jeff Awards, and 1 After Dark Award.  Television credits include “Early Edition” (CBS), “Normal” (HBO), Missing Persons (ABC), and an Afterschool Special “Love Hurts” (ABC).
