He most recently appeared as Sancho in Man of La Mancha (Montana Shakes) and as Wilbur Turnblad in Hairspray (Syracuse Stage). Other credits - Les Miserables (Thenardier - Jeff Award), Ragtime (Tateh - Jeff Award) and Curtains (Drury Lane Oakbrook); Animal Crackers, Dames at Sea, Into the Woods and The Cocoanuts (Skylight); The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (James Lapine-dir., Water Tower); A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Noble Fool); The Emperor’s New Clothes, Willy Wonka, and the premiere of How Can You Run With A Shell on Your Back? (Chicago Shakespeare). Shorter titles include Amadeus and Enter the Guardsman (Indiana Rep), We Three Lizas (About Face Theatre), and A Year with Frog and Toad (Chicago Children’s Theatre). Long associated with the hit Forbidden Broadway, Mark has performed from NYC to Singapore, skewering the likes of Mandy Patinkin, Roberto Benigni and Stephen Sondheim. He earned a Jeff Award for his work in Forbidden Broadway Dances With the Stars at the Royal George Theatre. Mark spent five years touring the US as Zazu in The Lion King.
